About Dinosaurs and Dahlias
Dinosaurs And Dahlias is a handmade jewellery business run by me, Mummy
(Louise Nuttall) with the help of Rawrus who comes with me on days out to
find inspiration whether it's a walk in the park or a trip to a museum.
All of my pieces are made using 75% or more upcycled materials but new
findings and chains to ensure quality. Rawrus and I look on markets and in
charity shops for unloved jewellery that speaks to us and asks to be made
beautiful again. These means that all of our pieces are limited edition, and in many cases one of a kind... and fun!
Our style is mainly Bohemian (Boho), hippy and gypsy, the freedom these styles give is amazing and makes anything possible!
Because we are very new I will be trying out lots of different styles and techniques, sometimes with great success, sometimes not so much but we all learn from our mistakes and grow from them!
I prefer to work with brass but also silver and where possible I try to do similar collections in brass and silver so everybody is happy!
We live in Preston, Lancashire but love to travel!
Manchester, London, Liverpool and Edinburgh are definitely some of our favourite places to go!
Our inspiration comes from all of these trips and things we see and learn on them so follow us on social media (check out my social media bar at the top on a pc or bottom of a mobile device to take you straight there) for regular updates and random trip photos! I will add a gallery to the website when I have had chance to edit all the photos, there are THOUSANDS that me and Rawrus have taken over the last 3 years since the lovable little guy came into our lives and I am trying to focus on my products to begin with... you never know when you'll find me at my work table at 3am after a busy night at my "day" job threading beads or bending brass!
